Andrew Jefford: Deep red-black. Some palpable oak is evident here, over ripe and resonant fruits. Nonetheless it doesn’t quite have the aromatic drive or force of the very best reds of the vintage. It is a charmer: sweet floating cherry, vanilla-frilled and teased to perfect ripeness. On the palate, it is amply fruited, vivid, deep, firm, with a little more fruit force and a little less charm than the aromas suggested. Generous, soft tannins help shape and tutor the fruits. Now to 2025. 91
Stephen Brook: Toasty black-fruits and licorice nose. Rich and juicy, with good concentration and dense tannins. Oaky and a tad extracted, this nonetheless has conviction and some power. Long, chewy finish. 91
