Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Smoky and earthy; some ambition palpable here. Fresh, acidic but with some wealth of flavor that will make a fair glass in the short term. Fine-grained tannins and an earthy-acid finish. Now to 2019. 84
Stephen Brook: Lush smoky oak tries to disguise a light herbaceousness, and rather successfully, too. Rich and broad on the palate, this has surprising concentration and weight, with blackberry and cassis fruit, though the pungent acidity gives the game away. Still, there’s no lack of fruit and spice. Quite long. 90
