Andrew Jefford: Dark, clear black-red. Freshly vegetal, like ripe Loire Cab Franc. Clear, expressive, and wellarticulated aromas. A smooth, open, honest flavor in which most of the interest comes from the supple tannins and well-judged oak framing the cool, tenuous fruit of the vintage. A well-crafted wine. Now to 2019. 84

Stephen Brook: Discreet but oaky cherry nose. Rich and plump, this has decent depth of fruit and tannic weight. Spice is interwoven with acidity, and there’s ample oak on the finish. Artfully crafted. Quite long. 89
