Jesús Barquín: Bright straw-yellow. Fruity nose, with a note of fresh banana, which I personally do not find attractive. The palate is also unconvincing, needing better integration. 83

Andrew Jefford: Mid-depth of pale gold. Slightly heavy, medicinal nose; less attractive than its peers. Correct but with a rather heavy, mushroomy style, lacking the breadiness and supple finesse of the best. 82

Peter Liem: Youthful and almost fruity, this is fragrant and harmonious, with a mouth-filling presence and subtle, salty undertones. It’s exuberant and energetic, and it really demands food—this would be delicious with anything from the sea. Its fruitiness is curious, reminiscent of young champagne; it seems strange to say that a Manzanilla is released too young, but I feel that this would greatly benefit from longer aging under flor. 90
