Stephen Brook: Muted nose with just a hint of tropical fruit in the background but little floral or hothouse character. On the palate it’s quite rich and heady, and the alcohol seems higher than the stated 13.5%. I find it a touch coarse, with insufficient acidity to lift the fruit. Dogged and lacking sensuality. Medium length. 84
Andrew Jefford: Pale green-gold. Some leafiness over a slightly gluey substrate. There is a little floral apricot fruit, too, which is really what you are looking for with this variety on the label. On the palate, the wine is rich but not sweet, weighty, with salty edges and with as much spice as floral notes. Nonetheless, the palate seems to me to be a clear improvement on the nose: full and generous in style without ever sinking into caricature. Good mealtime Viognier. 88
Peter Liem: The flavors of apricot, pear, and mandarin orange feel a little compressed on the palate, and while acidity keeps this lively, the finish is a bit simple and short. 79
