BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red: impressive depth of color for the vintage. Spicy, earthy scents over cool, restrained but perfumed fruits. On the palate, the concentration, depth, and mass of the wine are impressive: serious stuff, which will last a little longer than most. What nothing can hide, though, is the dominant acidity ... but there is no greenness at all here, and it is a true success for its year. Now to 2022. 89

Stephen Brook: Restrained but solid raspberry and cherry nose. Quite rich and firm, with rather chunky tannins. Although austere now, it doesn’t lack fruit and may soften up and gain some complexity with bottle age. Quite long. 89
