Andrew Jefford: Full bright gold. Fresh, zesty, and lemony, with hints of apple, apricot, mango, and passionfruit, too. Excitingly fruity and youthful at this stage. That tropical fruit character comes through very clearly on the palate, which also retains the bright freshness and zestiness. Moderately concentrated, but with fine levels of detail and plenty of development still ahead. Now to 2026. 91

Stephen Brook: Curiously heavy nose of peach syrup, more Sauternes than Barsac. Ample fruit, of course, but not the usual Coutet clarity. But the palate is splendid: forthright and lively, compact and intense, with a pineappley acidity cutting through the rich fruit. This has depth and weight, and the oak seems to be very well integrated. This will go the distance. 94
