Alex Hunt: A fairly dense, mineral style. Balanced in its own rather undemonstrative way but still a bit reduced, so hard to read at this stage. I have reasonable hopes that it will broaden out into a fine, composed Moulin-à-Vent. 88

Andrew Jefford: Deep purple-red. Bottle 1: Cork-scalped. Let’s try a new one. Bottle 2: Also slightly strange but in a different style: moist mushrooms and fungal growth. Vivid and lively wine on the palate, without any of the aromatic difficulties alluded to above. Exuberant, relatively smooth-textured for this vintage but gratifying wine. 86
