Michael Schuster: Mature ruby; fine, clear-cut, mineral-and-undergrowth nose; not sweet—it was a coolish year! Beautifully balanced, quite rich, fully mature claret; a fine, dry, but absorbed tannin, still with a lovely fresh acidity defining the freshly ripe fruit; classic, gravelly Graves: long, elegant, even, complete. A perfect maturity at nearly 30 years; not the class, richness, polish, or length of 1998, for example, but a lovely Graves, a lovely La Mission, and still with years to go, because it is so harmonious. Now to 2018. 17.5
