Richard Mayson: Mid amber-tawny. Ripe but slightly subdued and rather sour aromas, some toasty complexity. Rich and round, plenty of fruit and even a vestige of peppery tannin leaving a slightly spicy finish. 13

Margaret Rand: Rich, fairly weighty wine, warm and quite lush. But lacks something on the nose to make it sing. Good, though—complex and fine. 15
