Jesús Barquín:Sober and well-defined nose, with notes of black-berry jam. The palate, however, is not on par, the sweetness being too evident. In any case, a quality wine. 15

Richard Mayson:Again, a very deep, opaque color; not giving away a great deal on the nose, but underlying richness and ripe fruit evident; quite rich and opulent; well-balanced berry fruit, with a fine streak of acidity running right through to the finish. Great purity. Powerful ripe spicy tannins rising and persisting. A good mid- to long-distance wine. 18

Charles Metcalfe: Rather dumb on the nose. Black fruits rather than red. The palate is sweet and dense, with very firm tannins and good acidity. Fruit is good, sweet, but slightly one-dimensional. Solid wine slightly lacking complexity. 14.5
