Jesús Barquín:This one fits in the group of restrained and complex Vintage Ports: serious, fresh, fruit-driven. The palate follows suit when it comes to the flavors, but there is a feeling that its structural elements still need integration. 15.5

Richard Mayson:Very deep, inky color; not giving away much on the nose, closed, withdrawn with underlying opulence, slightly dusty (usually indicating powerful tannin); rich, quite opulent in the mouth initially, with ripe, powerful tannins rising in the mouth, rich and impressive with a dusty, tannic finish. Complete. A long-distance wine. Drink in 20+ years. 18.5

Charles Metcalfe:Quite closed, but has good fruit and sweetness on the nose. Rich, ripe, with smooth tannins. Solid, dependable wine rather than one of huge complexity and finesse. Tannins are firm, acidity is good, and fruit is more than adequate. Good, solid, mid-range wine that lacks a bit of spark. 14.5
