Mark Savage: Still very pretty. There is fruit, some toast, and lots still to like about it. I recall drinking a very enjoyable bottle—of the regular estate bottling, as opposed to this reserve—on Christmas Day a couple of years ago, in the evening when things were quiet and a wine for gentle contemplation was in order. It developed most beautifully in the glass, proving itself much superior to an Aloxe-Corton of the same vintage drunk with lunch that day.
