Jesús Barquín:Brownish amber, slightly cloudy. Spicy on the nose, peppery, a touch of clove, suggestive of a dry palate. The palate turns out not dry at all, but quite sweet and expressive, with rhubarb tart, without the acidity, cinnamon, dates. Long and sweet finish. 92
Andrew Jefford:Translucent true tawny in color. The unbridled scents of fragrant maturity, raisins and figs, but smoke over the autumn fields, too, and the dark forest beyond. Tangily sweet on the palate, energetic and concentrated, showing plenty of age, but perhaps lacking a little balance, refinement, and sumptuousness, though satisfying withal. 87
Richard Mayson:Slightly hazy amber hue; roasted, lacking definition and distinctly rustic on the nose; soft rather baked fruit, ponderous in style and lacking verve, though with its age very evident. Onedimensional on the finish. 79
