Michel Bettane: Elegant spicy and cedary nose, slightly austere but well proportioned; lots of breed in the finish; pure St-Estèphe, with a lot of future 17

Thierry Desseauve: Elegant, refined body; precise, complex bouquet; beautiful style. Deep 18

Michael Schuster: Closed nose, but clearly fine; nicely balanced mid-weight claret with a lively acidity and firm tannin; juicy but austere at the moment; fine and complex, yes, and with good length, but currently with a forbidding texture. Good, but will need plenty of time in bottle. 2018–28+ 16 +
