Michel Bettane: Distinct Cabernet cedary undertones, less tense and strict than the Ségla; not the most concentrated body and texture; evident complexity; tannins slightly dried by less than first-class barrels. Will age 16
Thierry Desseauve: Oaky and smoky notes on the nose; more fruits and spices in the mouth; generous body in the attack; less convincing in the finish 15
Michael Schuster: Reserved nose for the moment; dry tannin, just-ripe fruit; not bad but just doesn’t sing like the best Margaux at this level, still a very firm tannin and modest scope. Goodish but not yet up to its second-growth classification. 2017–25 15 +
