Michael Schuster: Very ripe fruit to smell—a hint of raisin, indeed; an odd balance of very ripe fruit, a lively acidity, and a very astringent dry new-oak tannin that completely dominates the palate. Leaves my mouth unpleasantly parched and dried. There may be a market for this style, but I am not part of it. Good fruit marred? Impossible for me to rate this sensibly. The fruit will never absorb the oak dryness. NS
