BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark black-red. Sweet and warm, with generous oak and earthy warmth. On the palate, this is deep, rich, and ripe, with lavish extracts and tannins. Despite its alcohol, it doesn’t come across to me as hot or unbalanced, but it is crafted for those who love ripeness, density, texture and wealth of flavor rather than the freshness and poise, which (for example) was everywhere evident on the Left Bank. 2018–28. 91
