Richard Mayson: Mid-brick red; lovely, open, floral aromas, fully mature, perhaps a touch hollow, with spirit now showing through. A fine, delicate, berry-fruit character, with a hint of dark chocolate mid-palate; focused, quite dry in style on the finish, but still long and elegant. This would have been a very passable 1977 had it been declared. 16.5
