Richard Mayson: Mid-brick red to mahogany; fine, tight-knit, sweet-cherry fruit, with mint and esteva (gum cistus), now slightly lifted; lovely, gentle, medicinal cherry fruit, quite rich and voluptuous initially, with a bittersweet tannic core and a long, firm, bittersweet finish.
