Richard Mayson: Good, mid-deep brick red, with a thin amber rim; high-toned, caramelized; rather clumsy on the nose, hot and sticky; tastes fresher, rich and quite dense, very sweet, with a bittersweet core, dark chocolate, the richness continuing through the finish.
