Michael Schuster: A most seductive nose already: rich, complex, spicy, scented, with a superb fruit presence; perfectly balanced Port, rich and dense behind a finely firm tannin; sweet, crisp, long, and complex wine, racy and scented, very long across the palate; wonderfully fine in texture, wonderfully mouth-coating in scent, and with a terrific tenacity of flavor and great fragrant length. Truly great Port, with the emphasis on finesse rather than power in absolute terms. Magnificent! Leave at least ten years. 2020–50+ (January 2009). 19.5
