Michael Edwards: Tasted December 4, 2011. Fine shimmering Welsh gold (hint of green); model, persistent cordon of little bubbles; classic Grande Cuvée aromas, Chardonnay scents of hazelnut, white flowers, and pêches des vignes (very Le Mesnil) presaging a surging, Pinot-led mouthfeel, vinously rich, touched with honey and vanilla—yet the freshness and maturity of flavors are perfectly balanced. The dosage seems just right (9g/l?). An exceptional bottle, long and complex. 18.5
