Stephen Browett: A deep color but showing a bit of maturity at the rim. Ripe, cassis fruit on the nose. The palate has a lovely, smooth texture. Ripe and opulent but a little bit of structure, too. Not as intense as some but plenty of attractive, plummy concentration with spicy notes. Will mature relatively early. Nicely polished and very user-friendly. Very attractive. 16

Michael Schuster: Dark, narrow-rimmed red; ripe, cedary nose, but here too, a touch of green olive; well balanced middleweight with a firm, dry tannin; very minerally Cabernet flavor, with a nice spice and complexity; elegance without excess, fresh and natural for the year, but tannin a little dry edged and severe perhaps, good, crisp length. Solid, slightly old-fashioned St-Julien, which will be a bit severe for a while to come. From 2015. 16+
