Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Baked, stewed aromas, rather like Hungarian cherry soup. Rich, broad fruit on the attack, but there’s baked character here, too, and some rather dry tannins. Hefty and robust but lacking in Margaux elegance and fruit definition. Just a big mouthful of rather flaccid fruit. Lacks zest and acidity. Medium length. 13
Stephen Browett: Darkish at center but fading at the rim. Sweet nose of candied fruits and milk chocolate. Fresh but a little light. Charming, with smooth texture and some creamy vanilla oak. Pleasant but maybe lacks body. 14.5
Michael Schuster: Dark red; faint herbaceousness of unripe fruit to smell; medium-full wine, with a very dry tannin behind a scented fruit of modest complexity, finishes very dry in texture too. Not sure this will ever be harmonious. Feels as though it needs 6–8 years at least. And will it be nice then? Doubtful. From 2012. 14?
