Stephen Brook: Opaque red. Dumb nose, hint of black fruits and caramel. Quite rich, juicy, robust, full-bodied, but quite extracted and dense. There is fruit here but the tannins are quite fierce. Zero finesse, but ample brooding chunky fruit. One-dimensional and lacking in freshness and zest. 14

Michael Schuster: Very dark red; light, faintly minerally nose; very dry middleweight, firmly tannic; Margaux restraint, yes, but quite extracted, too. Dry, minerally, restrained, but another one where one feels the texture just dominates and distracts from the fruit; medium length. Needs at least 5 years. 14
