Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Dumb nose. Broad, rounded, cushiony, lacks grip and zest. Dull and bland with an earthy aftertaste. No persistence or structure. 10

Stephen Browett: Medium-deep color. A bit rustic on the nose, solid and chewy on the palate. Plenty of substance here with good flesh on the bones. A better effort than usual. 15

Michael Schuster: Dark red; lightly scented, minerally nose; very drily tannic texture round a very fluid flavor core; tough and limited at once; chewy and simple. Unlikely ever to give much pleasure. 12.5
