Stephen Browett: Very dark color. Brooding, intense nose. Huge on the palate, impressive depth here, and although it is inky it is not ugly. Verging on the Port-like but well balanced. Powerful and impressive. Very good, if not truly great. 16

Michael Schuster: Deep purple, intense, cedary oak marked ripe fruit; medium full, good quality fruit completely gripped by its wood tannin. 15/15.5
