BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Opaque red. Rich plummy nose, no baked character. Rich, svelte, creamy, with plenty of acidity and spice and a lively red-fruits tone on the mid-palate. Discreet tannins and finely balanced overall. Good length. 17.5

Stephen Browett: Opulent nose, ripe, sweet and creamy. Sweet and decadent on the palate but not too much so. Richness but freshness too. Well made wine in the modern style. 14.5

Michael Schuster: Dark red; nice, freshly ripe nose; well balanced, lightly tannic, moderately concentrated wine; attractive, juicily ripe fruit, nicely sustained across the palate, delicate but not weak, with a particularly attractive freshness for the year and excellent, scented length. Very nice indeed. Accessible young, and should both keep and develop well. Not a big wine, but stylish. From 2009. 16.5
