Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great color. With its exceptionally racy, taut texture, immediately senses a higher proportion of Cabernets than in the preceding vintages, the spicy tannins being of great class and promise. It reveals its true stature only after a good quarter of an hour in the glass! 18.5

Michael Schuster: Softly ripe blackberry, blueberry, and fine minerals to smell; typically suave, polished, scented wine with a lovely sweetness of fruit, effortlessly long, aromatically resonant; fully ripe in flavor, yet remaining fresh and vital at a natural 13% alcohol with the remarkably fine-grained tannin so characteristic of the vineyard and the winemaking. A lovely medium-term (and maybe longer…) Haut-Brion. 2018–30+. 18+
