Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great color, a well-developed nose with classy aromas of red-berry fruit, and a very charming palate thanks to an unusually fine-grained texture and smooth, integrated tannins. Add an aristocratic finish not unlike a St-Julien and you have all the signs of a wine in great shape that once again promises to offer unbeatable value for money. 16.5
Michael Schuster: Refined, ripe fruit and minerals on the nose; elegantly balanced, warm, very ripe, sweet fruit within a fine, slightly oak-dry tannin, with a light minerality behind, and good, almost raisiny, sweet length. Classiest Belgrave for a long time, in a very ripe, oaky, new-wave style. 2015–25+. 15.5/16
