Michael Schuster: Dense mineral and black fruit; rich and concentrated and vital, a very lively expression of the year, with no excess tannin or extract, juicy and brisk and appetizing, plenty to savor, long in the mouth, with a mouth-watering definition to the abundant fruit. The tannins are delicate (you notice them mainly on the finish), the St-Emilion purity of fruit is preserved, and this has excellent, fragrant length. Very nicely made in the year; high in alcohol but tasting balanced: no heat, no hardness. Will need longer than usual to mellow, though. 2018–30? 16/17
