Michael Schuster: A freshly ripe, not raisiny-ripe, fruit to smell; very nicely balanced, moderately concentrated middleweight, with a fine, firmish tannin and a lively acidity. Ripe, transparent flavor, pure, subtle, complex, and limestone- tinged, with a gentle, savory tannin, a touch of the year’s warmth, and lovely fruit persistence on its long finish. This is what good balance is about. A first-rate Canon for the second year running. 2022–40+. 17/17.5+
