Michael Schuster: Fresh, spicy edge of Cabernet Franc clear here, faintly herbal in a positive sense; vital, elegant, nicely concentrated middleweight, with a delicate tannin; very fragrant wine, with a concentration of fruit rather than extract, sinew, or structure. Long, graceful, refined, vividly spicy; relatively supple, yet with a very attractive, light tannin texture; sweetly, freshly, and juicily ripe—croquant—like a perfectly ripe cherry, and with gentle, fragrant length. A beautifully conceived and constructed second wine, classy, complete, and harmonious—the product of very gentle winemaking. Quel plaisir! 2016–30. 17/17.5
