Michel Bettane: Good color, spicy nose but with rubber oaky undertones (perhaps from some excessive toasty barrels); good stuff but lacking precision in the finish. Solid Pauillac more than a refined one. 15
Thierry Desseauve: Supple and generous body, good fruity aromas, acceptable but not great length. Classic and clean Pauillac. 15
Michael Schuster: Dense, closed; fruit there in the background; full, relatively fleshy wine within the firm tannin; Pauillac muscle but plenty of fruit, too; ripe, generous, and savory, a firm but bounteous Pauillac with a very satisfying balance of fruit to sinew; moderate complexity, nice length. Will need rich and tasty food, but none the worse for that. An excellent fifth. 2014–26. 16
