Michel Bettane: Good color, cedary undertones, medium body and not very concentrated texture; elegant in its light style, well-extracted tannins, but not up to its terroir potential and classification. 15.5

Thierry Desseauve: Lighter color than the other St-Juliens; spice and fruit. Elegant, well balanced, supple, correct length. Classic, not outstanding. 16

Michael Schuster: Ripe blackberry fruit and light mineral nose; elegantly balanced, brisk middleweight, finely, firmly tannic; the usual gently fleshy style of Talbot within the slight severity of the commune in this vintage; moderate complexity and length, with a touch of the year’s austerity. Leave until its tenth birthday at least. 2016–25+. 15.5
