Andrew Jefford: Saturated, deep dense black-red. There’s more warmth and ripeness here than we smelled in St-Estèphe; almost a sun-warmed tomato note, though just a hint behind the chunky black fruits and oak. Quite smooth, soft, and open on the palate, with an attractive, easy roundness and volume of fruit. Excellent ripeness—and it runs on that, without overburdening the wine with ambitious oak and weighing down with unnecessary textural force. 2018–26. 90
Michael Schuster: Closed to smell, currently a touch reductive; medium-full, fresh, moderate in concentration, quite fine and firm in tannin; a fairly refined flavor, if not a great deal of depth; fresh and flavory, but lacking just a point in fruit depth and sweetness; moderate complexity and length for its status. Goodish, not special, needs to soften. 2020–30. 89
