Michel Bettane: Dark color, riper nose, some good oak in evidence; good body, full, pretty classical Médoc wine; charm from Merlot and classic Cabernet tannins, not a blockbuster, not as complex as some older vintages; well made but not up to its fame. 15.5
Thierry Desseauve: Good balance between acidity and maturity, fruit and secondary aromas; not a blockbuster but a long, slim, fresh wine. This classic Médoc wine will age perfectly for 10 or 15 years. 16
Michael Schuster: Stylish, lightly gravelly, aromatic nose; nicely balanced medium-full wine, crisp in acidity, firm but fine in tannin; dry, gently gravelly, classic claret flavor in the year’s lean, linear style. Good light length; better in 3–4 years. 2014–20+. 15
