Michel Bettane: Good dark color, excellent nose, perfect oak integration; excellent body, very true to type, with a hint of smoky creosote-like undertones; noble tannin. In a class of its own with Haut-Bailly. 17
Thierry Desseauve: Deep color; toasty and smoky flavors combined with berries and clove. Ample and powerful wine, very soft, ripe and fine structure, long finish. Both hedonistic and long-aging wine, really excellent. 18
Michael Schuster: Dense, ripe, oaky-sweet nose; full, rich, well-balanced middleweight wine, firmly, drily tannic; plenty of dense, ripe fruit, spicy and complex, all strongly marked by the now characteristic new-oak dryness of texture; ripe and quite powerful, long across the palate, long and oak spicy to finish. A quite big, quite muscular expression of Graves, not really to my own taste, at least not at this stage, but certainly very good. Imposing, impressive, and needing plenty of time. 2018–32+. 17.5
