BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Great color, lot of new-oak undertones, big body, rich, full, impressive but not complex. 15

Thierry Desseauve: The oak dominates the wine. The finish is very dry. 14

Michael Schuster: Dense, slightly woody nose; rich, vivid, well-balanced wine, concentrated and firmly if finely tannic; abundantly ripe, tasty, flavorsome, and complex; deep, sweet, generous, powerful, but long in the mouth and very satisfying; a little too much new-oak dryness for my personal taste, but this is very good in its weighty, potent style. Will need a long time in bottle to mellow. 2016–30+. 17.5
