Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Woodland and leaf scents over relatively slender blackcurrant and raspberry. No sense of fruited solidity or glowing ripeness. The palate is smooth, elegant, bright, pure, and long: classy and well-crafted, with real finesse. Nature has been evidently ungenerous, though. Delicious if taken over the short term, but age at your peril. Now to 2021. 88
Stephen Brook: Intensely oaky nose, with some lively blackberry fruit. Quite rich, rounded, and concentrated, this is admirable for 2013, with plenty of body and weight, ample black fruits, and a positive finish. 91
