Michel Bettane: Good color, nice spicy nose, elegant texture; not very impressive in matter of body and taste, but charming and well-made in a middle-range class vintage. Perhaps too simple for a first! 15.5

Thierry Desseauve: Elegant and mellow; a wise interpretation of the chalky terroir of St-Emilion. Slight lack of intensity. 16

Michael Schuster: Dense and sweet on the nose; very nicely balanced, vivid, rich elegant wine; plenty of matter and a very firm tannin; sweetly ripe, dense, and savory, long and generous and quite muscular for the appellation, but with excellent length. The chewy tannins mean it will need time. 2015–25+. 16.5
