Michel Bettane: Good color, noble mineral complex nose, hints of violet and truffle; super-elegant texture, classical tannin, excellent length, my style of great St-Emilion because of its lovely overall balance. 18

Thierry Desseauve: Pure and ultra-precise expression of the chalky plateau of St-Emilion. Very elegant wine, with fine tannins and red-fruit aromas, with freshness and brilliant balance: the Bordeaux spirit is inside. 17.5

Michael Schuster: Sweet and oaky to smell; well balanced in a firm style, with good concentration of fruit within a firm fruit and oak tannin, plus fresh, vital acidity; prolonged, powerful, and vivid across the palate; clearly the product of a first-rate terroir; complex, complete, and with excellent aromatic length; a fine long-term Trottevieille. Needs 6–8 years at least but looks like being very good indeed. 2018–30+. 17.5
