BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Good color, excellent body, ripe texture and flavor, verging on too-high-alcohol sensation; not very complex; modern style, but I expected more complexity. 15.5

Thierry Desseauve: Elegant and linear wine, without the softness and the extreme finesse of the top Pomerols. Honest and quite strict. A wine to be aged: wait five years more. 16

Michael Schuster: Quite dense; ripe fruit to smell; good core of rich fruit, moderate complexity, and good medium length; not yet back to the form it was to achieve from 2008 on, with tannins still a little obtrusive. Solid Pomerol that will need several years yet; 2014–22+. 16
