Andrew Jefford: Glowing red-black. There’s a beautiful meaty ripeness here: fruity, savory, empyreumatic. A lovely nose, with everything well judged and in proportion, and achieved with real refinement. Rich, ample, complex, with slightly more understated tannins than some and slightly more vivid acidity, too. Poised and engaging, and little sense of this being “a lesser vintage” in any respect save overall dimensions. Bravo for some first-rate work here. 2018–24. 93
Michael Schuster: Ripe mulberry fruit to smell; full, fresh, finely tannic wine; sweetly ripe, elegant, quite fine and moderately complex; long and even to taste, and with a nice scented length. Overall firmish but good, if not top, Pomerol. 2021–30+. 90
