Michael Schuster: Ripe and minerally and a touch herbal; fresh, elegant middleweight, with a very fine tannin; a gentle cabernet- dominated, mineral-backed flavor, with a fine- textured grip; long, fresh, gently racy and perfumed in the mouth, with more obvious flesh than hitherto, a subtle complexity and good length. Gonzague Lurton has always liked “a bit of austerity” but has also realized that it is not fashionable and noted that he feels he has to “move with the times” finally. Very promising. 2022–30+. 17
