BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Very ripe to smell; Semillon “waxy”! Elegantly balanced middleweight wine, quite broad, but with a firm, defining acidity; long, even, ample, dry wine, without excess fat, and with a subtle minerality and fine tenacity of flavor; gently fat and rich rather than racy, and in an understated style for pape clément blanc; but well defined, very harmonious, and with good length. 2018–28. 17
