BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford: Full silver-gold in color. Grassy fresh and fruit-sweet: a poised combination of cucumber, apple, green plum, and honeysuckle. Lots to draw you into the glass, in sum: the scent of full ripeness from happy, well-sited vines. On the palate, the wine is vivid, deep, and fruit-packed, full of juicy mid-season apple. The finish, indeed, almost flirts with tartness but pulls back into warmth. Vinous, long finish. A very pure, lean, but full-flavored wine to follow the aromatic charms. 16

Andreas Larsson: Elegant and mineral on the nose, with bright aromas of citrus, peach, and raspberry. The palate is nicely austere, with a really succulent freshness and elegant, not overripe fruit. Fine length and balance, slightly lighter and more restrained than some of the others. 15.5

Stephan Reinhardt: Very clear and pale white-golden color. Complex and yeasty nose again, announcing a very mineral wine. Very elegant and salty on the palate, with pretty, clear, ripe-peach flavors. This is the first wine to give such clear nectarine and peach flavors. This is also the first wine you could drink very enjoyably today, though it would certainly benefit from further bottle age. To me, the fruity flavors are too loud and dominating at the moment. I do not want to have a fruit cocktail in my glass. 14.5
