Stephen Browett: A deep color. A huge, exotic nose of vanilla and oriental spices. Very sexy. On the palate it is absolutely gorgeous, with layer upon layer of dense, rich, black cherry fruit. Opulent and decadent with lovely spice. Big but not hard. Long and lingering. Sweet, viscous, and plump. Gorgeous. 18Andrew Jefford: Dark red-black. Evolved, open, incensey...A breadth and an easiness here; lacks a touch of finesse... Lovely, deep, warm, sweet, roasty ripe wealth here, though, with that splendid incense character. King from the east; gold too. Drinking in 10+ years.
Michael Schuster: Dark red, narrow-rimmed, real density to smell here; fully, freshly ripe fruit; fairly concentrated medium-weight wine, finely tannic, and particularly rich and fleshy for the vintage; generous in fruit, sweetly ripe and flowing, if without the usual minerality, and without quite the mineral, scented complexity either. Plush, fresh, persistent, but with the “warmly ripe” hallmark of the year. A clear first growth quality: tenacity, scent, mid-palate length, and an overall effortlessness. Accessible relatively early. From 2015. 18.5
