Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Tasted at the château. A classic expression of this great terroir, firm and structured but fleshy, too, with perfectly drawn tannin and a distinctly mineral finish (for once the term is justified). With more than 60% making it into the grand vin, it will also be produced in reasonable quantities—unlike some of its peers! 18/18.5

Michael Schuster: A fine, blackberry sweet nose; superbly balanced, polished wine with a firm but very fine tannin and a lovely, refined core of fruit, long and close-grained across the palate; aromatic, fairly concentrated and with fine length. An elegant, complete, naturally harmonious wine. 2016–25+. 16.5/17
